Meeting Charlotte Tilbury
Last week I was lucky enough to go to an event at House of Fraser in Glasgow to meet the one and only Charlotte Tilbury! As someone who has had a love for makeup for a really long time, meeting someone who has had such an incredible career and has built a now iconic brand was really an honour.
House of Fraser Glasgow opened Charlotte Tilbury’s first ever counter in Scotland this year and oh my, it is beautiful. It had previously been difficult to get a hold of CT products North of the border – although they are available online, choosing foundation shades without seeing them in person is really just not ideal. So this is very good news for us Scottish beauty lovers (although not so great news for our bank balances!).
Charlotte herself was absolutely lovely – she told me I had lovely skin (o m g) and that I would suit any one of her make-up looks (which admittedly made me blush with flattery!). She gave me a few hugs & then told me to follow my dreams – she totally gave me a pep talk about working hard and ‘if you can dream it you can do it!’. This sounds a little cringe when I write it down, but at the time it was really motivating and now I am feeling very inspired career-wise.
A Charlotte Tilbury Haul
Now, I couldn’t very well meet Charlotte Tilbury and not buy anything could I?
I hadn’t actually bought any luxury make-up for a very long time so I did have a few things on my list that I wanted to pick up. CT have also come out with a few new launches since I last shopped with them (the Hot Lips lipsticks & the new ‘Dreamy Look’ range) so I wanted to give them a try.
I actually filmed a little video this week of my first impressions of each of the products & a full make-up look with them all. I’m trying to get back into filming videos every week so please so let me know any feedback that you have for me! You can find the video here or below.
