The Pink Coat

A Statement Coat

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, I am a very big fan of Autumn/Winter clothing. I love big jumpers, boots, all the warm accessories and most of all, I love coats. I am a coat buying addict. Pea coats, trench coats, fur coats.. I have to have them all.

However, today I am going to talk about a recent coat purchase which is arguably the best one I have bought in years. This pink coat from Lost Ink via ASOS is warm, comfortable, the perfect length, has multiple pockets AND it’s the most perfect blush pink colour. I think blush pink is really gorgeous, flattering colour and is a nice change during the colder months when dark colours normally take over.

Outfit Details

As the coat is quite a statement colour, I kept the rest of the outfit quite toned down. These tasselled jeans from Topshop are a new favourite of mine – I think they are a subtle way to add a bit of interest to a pretty simple jeans + sweater outfit. My polo neck is my favourite ever grey sweater (because that has to be a category of clothing all on its own, right?) which I picked up from a vintage shop a few years ago. You can find a similar one here.

For accessories I wore my much loved grey bobble hat from Topshop – I bought this one last year and unfortunately they don’t have the same one in, but I have been loving the pink version from Topshop here. My sunglasses are from Westward Leaning (promise I wasn’t trying to be a diva, it was actually really sunny when I took these photos!). Finally I’m wearing a very old bag from Kate Spade and an old pair of black ankle boots from Topshop (similar here).

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! I’m loving featuring some more fashion/style related content here on pinotandparquet.com – you can find my last outfit post here! Let me know what you’ve been loving to wear now that the cold has arrived, it is absolutely freezing up here in Glasgow so it’s time for gloves & scarves (and most likely thermal layers..).
